Parent Stories – “Our Dream Sock gave us information that helped us catch his very first episode and subsequent episodes.”
My baby has an extra electrical pathway that sometimes catches his heart beat and throws him into SVT. The first time he had this, our Dream SockTM was saying his heartbeat was 300 bpm! I am a nurse and after trying to reposition our Dream SockTM trying to get it to pick up correctly I decided to take my baby’s pulse and realised it was accurate.
He has never had symptoms with his episodes but if SVT goes untreated it can lead to heart failure. Our Dream SockTM gave us information that helped us catch his very first episode and subsequent episodes he had the days before being able to get an appointment with the cardiologist. We got his diagnosis early and he is now taking medication until he hopefully outgrows this but I credit Owlet for helping us get timely assistance.
I am so thankful we have this technology to monitor my baby's safety and well-being! He is our third son and our little fighter 💕 Keller is now 9 months old and will be weaning off his heart medication soon.
