The Owlet Smart Sock helped me tremendously with my 22-day old baby girl, Skyler, on Saturday morning. I laid Skyler down after feeding her at about 5:15am. At about 6am, the Base Station sounded a notification and was flashing red.

My phone was wailing so I thought that maybe her Smart Sock had come off, but when I looked at my phone, I saw that her oxygen levels were low. I jumped up and looked into the bassinet. Skyler’s lips and face were blue, and she was not moving. I grabbed her and flipped her on her stomach in my hand and vigorously began to rub and pat her back until she started to stir and wake up.

Being a trauma nurse, I rarely panic but after all the work that took to get Skyler here (years of trying, two rounds of IVF and thousands and thousands of dollars), to see her blue and not moving made me panic. I couldn’t imagine her not being here.

Thanks to the Smart Sock, we were notified to help our little Skyler and don’t have to wonder what could have happened if we had slept right through it all. Thank you for making such a great product! I tell every mother I come in contact with about my experience with the Smart Sock, especially as a nurse.
